Donegal Airport
Donegal Airport is situated at Carrickfinn, approximately 15mins drive from Gweedore. Currently daily scheduled services are operated by Aer Arann between Donegal and Dublin and 3 times weekly between Donegal and Glasgow (see flight timetables section for more details) using the ATR42/72 type aircraft (ranging between 48 and 70 seats).
Flight time to Dublin is approx. 50 minutes and flight time to Glasgow is approx 55 minutes. The airport is also the flight support base for offshore gas and oil exploration off the west and north west coast of Ireland as well as providing a 24hr on-call service to the Irish Coast Guard. The scenic location also attracts a large amount of general aviation aircraft to the airport, particularly during holiday seasons.
Facilities
The airport boasts a modern attractive terminal building, with a Cafe/Bar area and small Gift Shop. Both Hertz and Enterprise car hire companies have desks in the terminal building. There is an ATM and WIFI is also available in the main terminal concourse. Hangarage is available for visiting aircraft, JETA1 and AVGAS fuels are also available. Secure car-parking is available at very competitive rates. Passengers can check-in up to 30mins prior to their flight departure time and the compact size of the airport makes travelling through the airport a very stress free experience!

The airport works very closely with a local tour operator in providing ‘fly-break’ offers in Donegal, Dublin and Glasgow.
