Bunbeg Harbour
Type: Active Fishing Harbour
Bunbeg Harbour is Europe's smallest active harbour! The harbour was a main exit and entry point during the height of British occupation. Other period relics, such as military barracks, grain stones, and lookout towers line the harbour. Bunbeg’s harbor is one of two docking places for Donegal Coastal Cruises (a.k.a. Turasmara; Magheroarty) and the ferry service for Tory Island, which departs daily. Boats also sail from Bunbeg to Gola Island, which has deserted beaches and beautiful views.
